READING, PA. - The Albright men's lacrosse team (3-12, 1-5 MAC Commonwealth) honored their seniors prior to today's game against Hood College (9-5, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth) in the Lions final game of the regular season at home. The Lions dropped a heartbreaker to Hood, 14-12. 
Prior to the start of today's game the 2023 Men's lacrosse seniors were recognized for their contributions to the program over the years. The Albright men's lacrosse graduating seniors are 
Liam Ferry, 
Steven Gazdek, 
Ethan Hinman, 
Drew MacDonald, 
Lucas Roselli, 
Jay Shifflet and 
Cameron Thomas. 
The Lions started fast, scoring six goals in the opening 15 minutes. 
Jack Burke and 
Lucas Roselli both scored twice in the opening quarter. 
James Elko and 
Luke Williams tallied one goal each to give Albright the early lead at 6-1 over Hood. 
Heading into halftime the Lions held a 8-4 advantage. Roselli and Elko both added another goal to their stat line giving Albright the halftime advantage. 
The Blazers began to climb back into the game starting in the third period outscoring Albright 5-2 in the frame. At the end of the three quarters, Albright was clinging to a 10-9 lead. 
Picking up with the Lions down two with six minutes left in the game. Roselli scored his fourth of the game and 
Jay Shifflet found the back of the net to tie the game at 12-12 with six and change left to play. Both Roselli and Shifflet goals came in man-up situations. 
Despite the inspired effort from the Lions, the Blazers scored twice in the final minutes to steal the game from Albright winning 14-12. 
Roselli ended his day with four goals and one assist. 
Jack Burke scored three times and added an assist. Elko and Shifflet each scored two goals in today's game while Williams tallied one goal in the game. 
Hunter Fitterling was strong defensively, collecting four ground balls and causing two turnovers.
