ANNVILLE, PA. - The Albright men's lacrosse team (3-13, 1-6 MAC Commonwealth) fell on the road on Wednesday evening to Lebanon Valley College (7-10, 2-6 MAC Commonwealth) on an unseasonably chilly night.
The Dutchmen had it going early finishing the opening frame with eight goals.
Jack Burke did his best to keep the Lions in the game scoring two first period goals. Both goals were unassisted for Burke.
The Lions battled back in the second period to make it an 8-5 game midway through the second period. Three quick goals from Albright got the Lions within three of the Dutchmen. Burke scored twice and James Elko and Lucas Roselli each added a goal in the second period. The Dutchmen carried a 13-6 lead into halftime.
Lebanon Valley doubled up Albright 4-2 in the third quarter to put the Lions away leading 17-8 heading into the final 15 minutes. Jack Buke scored his fourth of the game while Jay Shifflet got on the scoresheet with a goal of his own in the frame.
Burke ended his day scoring five goals, an assist and five ground balls. Burke is now up to a team leading 47 goals on the season.
Lucas Roselli and Jay Shifflet both scored twice and James Elko tallied a goal for Albright.
