GRANTHAM, PA. - The Albright men's lacrosse team (3-14, 1-6 MAC Commonwealth) concluded their regular season this afternoon and fell to Messiah (11-6, 4-4 MAC Commonwealth) on the road by a final score of 13-6.
Messiah jumped on Albright in the early going scoring five goals in the first period. The Falcons held a 9-3 advantage after 30 minutes of play.
Luke Williams and Jay Shifflet both scored for the Lions in the first period looking to spark the Lions. Shifflet's goal was number 43 for the season while Williams scored his seventh of the year.
Joshua Isangedighi scored his first career goal this afternoon in the second period for the Lions. The junior defenseman saved his best for last scoring in the final game of the season.
Messiah won the game going away scoring four times in the second half to win the game 13-6 over Albright.
Lucas Roselli scored twice in the second half and Nick Antonio added a tally for Albright. Roselli finishes his overall wonderful season with a total of 37 goals.
Defensively, Hunter Fitterling ended the afternoon with tying his season high with five caused turnovers and collected five ground balls.
Justinus Park won 10 face-offs and collected five groundballs for good measure on the afternoon.
