READING, Pa. – Men's lacrosse (3-11, 0-5 MAC Commonwealth) hosted senior night on Wednesday evening against the Widener Pride (2-11, 0-4 MAC Commonwealth). Widener left with a 15-4 victory.
Prior to the game the Lions took the time to honor their three graduating seniors.
Justin Moroney,
Ryan Conover and
Nick Antonio will all graduate from Albright in May.
Two goals were scored by each team throughout the first 15 minutes of play. Antonio tallied the goals for the Lions in the early goings.
In the second quarter, The Pride scored three goals to Albright's zero to take a 5-2 lead into intermission.
Widener found their groove in the second half scoring 10 second half goals to power themselves past the Lions.
Antonio finished with three goals to lead Albright. This season alone Antonio has scored at least three goals in seven games. Additionally, Antonio notched his 100
th and 101
st career goals in an Albright uniform.
Moroney tallied the Lions fourth goal of the game to bring his season total to 41.
Nate Howe was disruptive on defense causing four turnovers which set a new season high for the junior Lion.
Brady Etzkorn kept the Lions in the game for the majority of it finishing with 19 saves. The save total is good for a new career high for Etzkorn.
