WILLIAMSPORT, PA. - The Albright College baseball team (8-29, 2-22 MAC Commonwealth) capped off their three games in three days stretch going 2-1 beating Lycoming (12-23) under the lights at Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field. For the second time in three days the Albright defense turned a double play to end the game securing the win.
Nick Barton got the scoring started by doubling home Tommy Lewman putting Albright up 1-0. Eddie Meredith capped off the two run second inning with an RBI groundout scoring Barton from third.
The Lions kept the bats hot going into the third inning scoring three times in frame to take a 5-0 lead. With the bases loaded and one down, Lewman roped a single back up the box scoring two runs. Roman Berretta, who previously reached on a walk, came around to score on a wild pitch.
Jack Gilmer and Zander Tesoriere added two big runs in the top of the eighth. Gilmer singled through the right side and Tesoriere doubled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Albright took a 7-5 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning.
For the second time in three games, Albright turned a double play to secure the victory. Lukas Khandagle once again pitched the ninth earning his second save of the week. Khandangle now has two saves on the week in 1 ⅔ innings of zero run ball.
A trio of first year Lions had themselves a day at Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field. Josh Tudor tossed a quality start while Zander Tesoriere and Tommy Lewman both collected three hits on the day.
Josh Tudor got the start today for Albright and proceeded to have the best start of the year for the Lions and for Tudor's career. Tudor went six strong innings striking out seven, allowing two runs earning career win number one for the first year student athlete. The six innings and seven strikeouts are both career highs.
Tesoriere went 3-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored hitting in the leadoff spot for Albright. Tommy Lewman was in the four spot and went 3-4 with a double, 2 RBI's and a run scored.

Albright will return home for a doubleheader against Lycoming on Saturday, April 29. The double header is set for a 2 p.m. start time from Kelchner Field.
