STEVENSON, MD. - The Albright women's volleyball team (8-2) went on the road on Wednesday evening marking the first Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth game of the season squaring off against Stevenson (9-3). The Mustangs won 3-0 over Albright protecting their home floor.

Today's game was the first MAC Commonwealth match of the season for both Albright and Stevenson.

Albright carried an eight-game win streak into tonight's match. During the eight-game win streak the Lions only dropped four sets total.


ALBRIGHT 0 / STEVENSON 3 (25-9, 25-18, 25-12)

The Mustangs jumped on the Lions early and controlled the first set. Sophie Hampton led the Lions attack in the first set recording three kills.

Stevenson carried the first set momentum into the rest of the match taking sets two and three over Albright.

Hampton finished the game as the leader in kills for the Lions recording nine in the game.

Kyra Lycett was strong again defensively for Albright tallying 22 digs. Paola Mejias turned in a solid effort tallying 11 digs in the contest.
