ROSEMONT, PA. - The Albright volleyball team (3-1) was on the road for the first time in 2023 squaring off against Rosemont (0-2). The Lions earned their second sweep of the season tonight against the Ravens making quick work of the opposition.
Albright and Rosemont have played five times since 2012 with Albright winning all five matches without dropping a set.
The Lions won all three sets by a combined 34 points including a dominating third and final set that the Lions won 25-9.
Eight different Lions tallied a kill in the game led by outside hitter Sophie Hampton. Hampton registers 10 kills in the game giving her double digit kills in back to back games.
Neve Straff and Rachel Etim were second and third on the team for kills in the game tallying nine and eight, respectively. In addition, had her serve working, recording three service aces in the match.
Kyra Lycett was strong defensively for Albright having a game high 17 digs helping to keep the Ravens off the scoreboard.
In all, Albright recorded 38 kills and 11 service aces propelling them to their third straight win, and second 3-0 sweep in just four games to start the season.
