Men’s Soccer Drops Road Match against DeSales

The Lions were on the road for the second time in three weeks to take on the DeSales Bulldogs. Following 90 minutes of play, the Bulldogs won 2-0.

Center Valley, Pa. – The Albright Men's Soccer team (7-2) traveled to face DeSales (8-2) in one of their final non-conference games of the season. In a game that featured only seven total shots on goal, the Bulldogs would win 2-0.

This is the only match of the season so far where the red-hot Lions offense was unable to find the back of the net.

Christian Bowles, John Villano and Andrew Myers each recorded shots on goal keeping the Lions in the match until the final whistle.

The Lions put up one of their strongest defensive efforts of the season blocking multiple shots and creating several clutch breakups. As a result, majority of the Bulldogs' shots were well off target.

The two-goal effort by DeSales was the first time the team has allowed multiple goals in a game since September 18th against Immaculata and only the second time multiple goals have been scored against the team the season.
