READING, Pa – Men's Soccer (7-3, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) hosted their first conference game of the season against Widener (5-3-3, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth). Following a stellar defensive effort from both sides, the visiting pride would leave with a 1-0 win. 
 
The goal scored by the Pride in just the second minute of play would go on to be followed by back-and-forth defensive plays from both teams. 
 
Cooper Walters made his second straight starts and made four saves to go along with a number of clutch breakups to keep the Lions in the game. 
 
The Lions had a total team effort on offense with defensemen 
Myles Mitchell recording two shots in the loss. 
 
In an effort to Lead the offense back into the game, 
Christian Bowles led the Lions with three shots including a phenomenal header attempt which was narrowly saved in the final minute of play. 
 
Joining Mitchell and Bowles in the shot category were 
John Villano and 
Vincent Simmons.
