DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Albright football (1-6, 0-6 MAC) went on the road for the second straight week on Saturday afternoon squaring off against the Delaware Valley Aggies (6-1, 5-1 MAC). The Aggies got the better of the Lions on Saturday afternoon winning the conference matchup 28-0.
Today's game marked the second to last road game of the season for the Lions. The last road game will come at seasons end when Albright takes on Lebanon Valley on November 16.
The Aggies scored two touchdowns in both the first and second quarters to jump out to a 28-0 lead at halftime. Delaware Valley used their fast start to their advantage picking up their fourth straight win overall.
Samuel Moratori came into the game as the conference's leading tackler and put together another strong performance. Moratori finished the game with a game high 13 tackles. The junior safety now has 74 tackles on the year finishing five games this season tallying 11 or more tackles.
Darien Osmun was credited with a sack this afternoon apart of his six-tackle day.
Sebastian Robinson finished second on the team with nine tackles.
Kyle Sapovchak ended the game with a new career high in receptions and receiving yards. The junior tight end recorded five catches for 40 yards.
Omir Fraser led the team in receiving with 62 yards including a 32-yard catch. Fraser hauled in three passes giving
Chase Roberts a reliable target all afternoon.
Roberts threw for 155 yards this afternoon completing a pass to seven different receivers. Coming into today's game, Roberts was second in all the MAC with 1,041 passing yards to date.
John Boston led the rushing attack with 42 yards on the ground.
