KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Albright women's golf returned to the course on Sunday afternoon taking part in the Kutztown Invitational. The two-day Invitational will be played at Moselem Springs Golf Club on both days.
Albright was one of just three division three teams in the field this afternoon alongside Alvernia and Gettysburg. A total of nine teams were in the field with the remaining six teams all out of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
At the end of day one Albright is in seventh out of eight teams finishing ahead of division two East Stroudsburg.
Fatima Rizvi continues to shine for the Albright women's golf team finishing day one in a tie for 5
th. The first year Lion shot a nine over par 79, ranking second among division three golfers in the field.
Ilaria Catania had a solid round of 87 finding herself in 23
rd at the end of day one. Catania is within striking distance of the top 13 in the field sitting just three strokes behind them.
Callie Cooper and
Braidan Wastler rounded out the Lions in action today. Cooper played in her first tournament round of the season today and shot a 106. Wastler's round came in at 110.
