KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Women's golf concluded the two-day Kutztown Invitational on Monday afternoon. First year standout golfer
Fatima Rizvi finished in solo eighth place to pace the Lions team in the event.
The two-day Invitational was played at Moselem Springs Golf Club on both days. The course played at 5680 yards and a par of 70. Albright finished in eighth place with a two-day team score of 768. The score was 29 strokes better than division two East Stroudsburg.

Eric Lamm is excited about the trajectory of his team after preforming well the past couple of days especially on a tough course.
"Very proud of our Lions at their first tournament of the season. We played a golf course with greens that would rival the greens at Augusta National in their slope and speed ratings. All four of our women golfers gave their very best on this challenging course! I am confident we will see improvement as our active October season rolls on."
Rizvi has had a fantastic start to her Albright career picking up another top-10 finish this afternoon. In three total events this season, Rizvi has finishes of first, tied for fourth and now a solo eighth finish. Rizvi's day two score came in at an 86.
The first-year golfer was solid in both rounds putting together a two-day total of 165. The score was not only good for eighth overall but also the third best score of all division three golfers in the field.
Ilaria Catania finished tied for 20
th after back to back rounds of 87. In three total events this season, Catania has finished inside the top 20 in all three events.
Callie Cooper improved on her day one score by five strokes on day two. The two-day tournament marked the first two rounds of the season for Cooper shooting a 101 on day two.
Braidan Wastler was one of four Lions in action the past two days ending with a round of 112 on day two.

Albright will tee it up this Sunday (Oct. 13) at their home Invitational. The single day Invitational will be played at Lebanon Country Club with the first golfers going out at 12:00 p.m.
