GALLOWAY, N.J. – Women's basketball (3-2) topped Stockton (3-2) on Saturday afternoon in the Lions fourth road game to start the year. Albright has now won two straight over Stockton in the all time series.
With today's win, head coach
Janice Luck is now two wins away from 300 standing at 298 career wins.
The back and fourth game came down to free throws in the end. Albright was solid from the line in the fourth quarter going 10-14. The Lions were up one at halftime and were able to came away with the win in an all-around team effort.
Orianna Edmond continues to be a disrupter on defense having three more blocks this afternoon. Edmond has three straight games with three blocks or more. On the offensive end, Edmond was second on the team in scoring with 12 points while grabbing seven rebounds.
Mackenzie Dover recorded her fifth straight double-digit scoring game to start the season tallying 14 points today. Dover was clutch from the free throw line going 8-12.
CJ Apistar played her best game of the year scoring 10 points as the third Lion in double figures this afternoon. Apistar went 2-4 from behind the arc and a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line recording a season high in points.
Kenedy Cooper chipped in with nine points while
Shakyla Mayo,
Gigi Serrano and
Chrisdin Jones all had five points of their own. Serrano was strong on the glass all afternoon securing seven rebounds.
