READING, Pa. – The Albright Women's Basketball team (5-3) played their third of four straight at home against Lebanon Valley (6-3). Following a slow first half, the Lions would score 37 second half points after trailing by as many as 14 in a 64-59 loss.
Kennedy Cooper converted on three of her six shots to score a team high 10 points and grabbed three rebounds.
The Lions entered halftime facing a 32-22 deficit and were looking for a spark in the final two quarters of play.
Julia Parmelee did just that and recorded six points in 14 minutes off the bench to go along with two steals, four rebounds and a pair of assists. Parmelee was also one of four Lions to end the night with a blocked shot.
Orianna Edmond picked up a team high six rebounds and hit half of her shots for nine points and tied
Mackenzie Dover for the team lead in assists with three.
After trailing the entire game, a basket from
Gigi Serrano would tie the game at 55-55 with five minutes to left.
Unfortunately, a 9-5 run from Lebanon Valley would allow the visiting Dutchmen to leave with a narrow 64-59 victory following an inspiring push from the Lions.
