GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Albright women's basketball team (8-13, 5-5 MAC Commonwealth) was on the road for their second straight game at Messiah (18-3, 10-0 MAC Commonwealth) on Saturday (Feb. 3) afternoon. The Falcons of Messiah remained perfect in MAC Commonwealth play with a 70-46 win over the Lions this afternoon.
Despite today's loss, the Lions are still in good shape in the MAC Commonwealth playoff picture. Albright has four games remaining on their schedule and currently sit at 5-5 in conference play. Of the remaining four games, two will be played at home and two will be played on the road.
Mackenzie Dover led the way on the offensive end scoring a team high 15 points. Dover has enjoyed a strong offensive season for the Lions now averaging 15.1 points per game this season. The junior guard added five rebounds to her overall stat line.
Shakyla Mayo was second on the team in scoring going for 11 points. Mayo recorded her second double figure scoring game this afternoon. Mayo tallied two threes and recorded two rebounds.
Messiah led 30-19 after 20 minutes of play after jumping out to a 10-1 lead to begin today's game.
The Falcons came into today's game without a blemish on their MAC Commonwealth record. Messiah kept their perfect conference record in tact winning today's game over Albright 70-46.
Orianna Edmond nearly recorded a double-double tallying seven points and 10 rebounds. The double digit rebound effort marks Edmond's fifth double digit rebound game of the season.
Kenedy Cooper chipped in with five points in four rebounds off the bench for Albright.

Albright will host York College on Wednesday, February 7 at the Bollman Center. The game is set for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff.
