READING, Pa. – The Albright College baseball team (3-3) was locked up in a tightly contested match with Cabrini (7-3) this afternoon on their home field. The low scoring affair was won by Cabrini by a final score of 3-1.
Brendan Stuhltrager collected two more hits this afternoon improving on his impressive season average (.458). Stuhltrager crushed a double into the left center gap that got the Lions within one run in the bottom of the eight-inning scoring
Jack Gilmer who reached on a single.
The two teams were locked in a pitcher's duel this afternoon. Cabrini scored two runs in the first inning and then another in the fifth inning. Andrew Smith started the game for Cabrini throwing 4.2 innings striking out 11 along the way.
Albright had chances to score multiple runs this afternoon but the Cabrini pitching staff was able to work out of multiple jams. The Lions loaded the bases on multiple occasions but were unable to bring the runners home.
Roman Berretta went 1-3 with a double this afternoon while also recording a walk. Berretta was active on the base paths recording two stolen bases.

Jack Gilmer and
Carter Cordora all recorded singles this afternoon for Albright. Gilmer added a run scored while Cordora recorded his first hit as an Albright Lion.
As a team, Albright tallied seven walks with
Tommy Lewman recording two of them.
The Albright pitching staff was only charged with one earned run this afternoon.

Blake Schlueter,
Sam Bilinsky and
Andrew Pierce combined to throw 7.2 innings keeping the Cabrini bats off balance. Schlueter led the staff with two strikeouts, the first two strikeouts of his Albright career.
