GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Albright College baseball team (3-8) wrapped up their home and home series against Gettysburg (6-10) on Monday afternoon. The Bullets took today's game over the Lions by a final score of 10-8.
The Albright and Gettysburg matchup was originally scheduled for March 2 with both games being played on the home field of the Lions. However, rain forced the games into postponement resulting in a home and home series between the Lions and Bullets. Game one of the series was played back on March 4.
John O'Connor led off for the Lions this afternoon and proceeded to go 2-3 at the plate. O'Connor collected his first extra base hit of the season tripling to center field. The senior finished his day adding three runs scored and a walk.
Chris Gorla and
Owen Morais both notched two hits all of which were singles. Both of Gorla's hits resulted in runs scored for the Lions finishing his day with a career high three RBIs. Morais came around to score twice while on the bases while adding a hit by pitch.
Albright trailed 4-0 early but started to climb back in the game scoring three runs in the top of the third inning.
Brendan Stuhltrager plated the first run of the inning for the Lions scoring Morias on a sacrifice fly.
Roman Berretta was next and loaded the bases getting hit by a pitch. Gorla followed with his first RBIs of the making it a 4-3 game in favor of Gettysburg.
The Lions would tie things up at 7-7 in the seventh inning. Albright scored three straight runs on three straight at bats beginning with a Berretta sac fly. Gorla followed with his second RBI single of the day and
Nick Barton would tie things up with an infield single scoring O'Connor.
Over the final three innings the Bullets outscored Albright 3-1 to win the game 10-8 over the Lions.
Thomas Aulisi collected a hit and a run scored while Stuhltrager finished with two RBIs.
As a team the Lions had eight total hits and five walks.

Albright will be right back in action tomorrow afternoon on the road against Lancaster Bible College. The Lions and Chargers will get underway at 3:30 p.m.
