READING, Pa. – The Albright men's tennis team (2-1 Spring) played in their first match since March 7
th this afternoon at home against Lancaster Bible College. The Lions showed no signs of runs winning today's match 9-0 over the Chargers in a clean sweep.
Adam Good was inserted into number one singles this afternoon and won his match handily in straight sets. Good took the first set 6-3 and followed that up with a 6-1 second set win to close out the match.
Fox Bryan kept the shutout alive winning in a third set tiebreak in number two singles play. Fox won the first set 6-2 and dropped the second set 6-4. Fox rebounded nicely in the third set winning 10-7 in the frame.
Kobe Serpa and
Dylan Huha both won their respective matches 6-1, 6-0.
Gerardo Sanchez (6-2, 6-1) and
John McCarthy (6-2, 6-4) took care of business in their matches winning in straight sets.
Doubles play was more of the same for Albright winning the doubles matches by a combined score of 24-11. Sanchez and Fox won #1 doubles 8-5,
Gavin Buckley and Good won #2 doubles 8-4 and Serpa and Huha won #3 doubles 8-2.
