Women’s Lacrosse Wraps Up Nonconference Play against Lebanon Valley

The Albright women’s lacrosse wrapped up nonconference play this afternoon hosting Lebanon Valley College at Shirk Stadium. The Dutchmen took today’s game winning 20-6.

READING, Pa. – The Albright women's lacrosse team (1-9) wrapped up their nonconference schedule this afternoon hosting Lebanon Valley (5-4) at Shirk Stadium in another rain-soaked game. The Dutchmen won today's game 20-6 over the Lions.

Today's game marked the final game of the nonconference schedule for the Lions. In all, Albright played nine nonconference games this season and will now set their sights on MAC Commonwealth play. The Lions open MAC Commonwealth play against York College next week.

Kayte Moist led the way with three goals on the afternoon. Moist now has four games this season scoring three or more goals. With today's strong effort Moist increases her team lead in goals to 28. Moist has scored at least one goal in every game so far this season.

Katelyn Patrick, Sarah Chernis and Sophia Hess each scored a goal to go along with Moist's hat trick bringing their season goal totals to six and five, respectively.

Lebanon Valley jumped out to a 7-4 halftime lead over the Lions. Both teams were neck and neck in the first half battling each other and the rain.

LVC caught fire in the fourth quarter to pull away from Albright taking today's game in a MAC Commonwealth Freedom crossover battle.

Hess scored unassisted in the 4th quarter to record her first career goal for Albright.

Brianna Kung and Zoe Dicks each recorded an assist on the day. Additionally, Patrick tallied three ground balls and three draw controls.

Abby Hudson rounded out the Lions day recording three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Up Next:
The Lions will have more than a week off before beginning MAC Commonwealth play next Saturday, April 6. The Lions will head on the road on the 6th to take on the York College Spartans.
