READING, Pa. – The Albright College baseball team (2-1) was finally able to play on their home field this afternoon against Gettysburg (2-5) after Saturday's doubleheader was postponed until today. The Bullets of Gettysburg won today's game over the Lions by a final score of 24-2.
Gettysburg jumped out to an early lead plating nine runs across the first three innings of play. Gettysburg's Alexey Stout swung a hot bat finishing the game with two home runs.
Brendan Stuhltrager continues to perform at the plate for the Lions collecting another extra base hit today. Stuhltrager roped a double to center field in the fifth inning that scored
Eddie Meredith who reached previously on an error. Stuhltrager has collected six hits so far this season to go with two doubles and two RBIs.
Albright looked to add a couple more runs in the seventh inning loading the bases with one out. The Gettysburg pitching staff was able to get out of the jam in the inning leaving the bases loaded.
Gettysburg tacked on some more runs late in the game pulling away from Albright.
Albright tacked on a run in the ninth inning.
Trey Smith reached first base on a dropped third strike and would later come around to score on a wild pitch.
Jack Gilmer ended his day going 2-3 at the plate with a pair of singles.

John O'Connor and
Eddie Meredith all recorded hits today for the Lions each hitting a single.
