HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Albright women's lacrosse team (1-5) returned to the field tonight (Mar. 6) squaring off against non-conference foe Juniata College (3-0). The Eagles won tonight's game 18-3 over the Lions.
Tonight's meeting marked the first matchup between the two sides in each program's history.
On Monday of this week
Kayte Moist was named MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week. Moist scored nine the previous week while dishing out three assists and collecting 17 draw controls in the two total games.
Moist continued her strong play in today's game adding two more goal this afternoon going two for two in free poisition shots. Moist was also credited with an assist today marking the third straight game recording an assist. The season totals for Moist sit at 19 goals and four assists giving the senior attacker 23 total points this season.
Juniata held a 4-1 lead at halftime and were able to break the game open in the third quarter. The Eagles scored nine times in the third frame to put further distance between themselves and the Lions. Juniata remained in front for the final 15 minutes to remain perfect on their season.
Zoe Dicks tallied the first goal of the game for the Lions in the first half. Dicks has now scored in four of the six games this season for Albright. Dicks is second on the team in goals through five games with seven goals to date.

Abby Hudson recorded two ground balls and one caused turnover.

Albright remains on the road this weekend heading to Swarthmore on Saturday, March 9. The game is set for a 12:00 p.m. first draw.
