READING, Pa. – The Albright men's golf team won all eight singles matches on today's day two of the Lions Cup. The Lions were in complete control of this years Lions Cup winning all four best ball matches on day one and turning around today by winning all eight singles matches.
Albright has now won two straight Lions Cups over Penn State Berks. This year's win was exceptionally impressive as Albright won all 12 of the available points in the two-day competition. Day one was four best ball matches and day two was eight singles matches.
The men's golf team went a perfect 2-0 in head to head competitions during the 2023-24 season. In the fall of the 2023, Albright beat Alvernia in the "Yocum Cup" for the first time since 2018. The score was lopsided in favor of the Lions in the "Yocum Cup" winning 7 ½ to 1 ½ over the Golden Wolves. Today's win was impressive as they come as Albright won the Lions Cup 12-0 taking every available point of competition.
