Men’s Tennis Wins 8-1 over Hood at Home

The Lions men’s tennis team kept their playoff hopes alive with an 8-1 victory over Hood College on Saturday afternoon.

READING, Pa. – The Albright men's tennis team was in complete control of their match from start to finish winning handily over Hood 8-1. The win keeps the Lions playoffs hopes alive with one MAC Commonwealth match remaining.

The top four teams in the standings at seasons end qualify for the men's tennis conference championships. The Lions MAC record sits at 2-3, just one game out of the number four seed.

Adam Good was in action during number one singles play and won in impressive fashion, 6-2, 6-0.

Gerardo Sanchez did not drop a single set to his opponent in #2 singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 win.

Dylan Huha made it three straight, straight sets win with a 6-1, 6-3 victory in #3 singles play.

John McCarthy got the start today and earned the win with a 6-3, 6-1 straight sets win.

Fox Bryan and Sean Peppiatt rounded out the day in #1 doubles. The win for the duo came on a set score of 8-2.

Additionally, in today's match Albright earned three points through forfeit from Hood.
