READING, Pa – Baseball (10-22) returned home to face Marywood (20-10) in an out of conference pitcher's duel. After nine innings, Marywood would go on to leave with a slim 3-2 victory over the Lions.
Senior
Eddie Cruz made his first start of the year for the Lions pitching 2.2 innings and striking out a pair of batters bringing him to 11 strikeouts on the season.
Sophomore
Tommy Lewman drove in junior
Jack Gilmer with the first of his two hits on the day to give Albright a 1-1 in the bottom of the first. Lewman's .840 OPS ranks in the top five for the team.
Senior
Adam Ferdock came on in relief and pitched three shutout innings to go along with a pair of strikeouts and no walks. Ferdock continues to be one of the most reliable options for the team out of the bullpen posting a 1.29 WHIP.
Sophomore
Deklyn Marks hit his first double of the season to drive in Senior
Nick Barton and break a 1-1 to give the Lions back the lead.
Marywood would score a pair of runs the fifth inning to pull ahead 3-2 and never gave the lead back.
Junior
Roman Berretta reached base via a hit and walk raising his OPS to .770 to go along with a .312 batting average.
