READING, Pa – Softball (5-28) stayed on the road to play Gwynedd Mercy (16-19) for their last road trip of the season. Gwynedd Mercy would go on to sweep the Lions in a pair of close games winning 6-3 and 4-3.
Senior
Kathryn Baptiste drove in a run in the top of the first during game one and would go on to strikeout four batters in six innings of work in game two. Baptiste's 23 strikeouts rank second on the team this season.
Sophomore
Kaitlyn Aasheim pitched five innings and struck out two batters in game one. Aasheim has pitched the second most innings for the team this season with 51.
First year
Sadie Gonzalez recorded the first multi hit game of her Albright career with a pair of hits and a run scored in game one of the double header.
First year
Slaydon Fisher continued a strong season at the plate in game two with her fourth multi hit game of the season.
Senior
Heather Pomante recorded two RBIs in game two to put the Lions up 3-1 in the fifth inning.
Gwynedd Mercy would go on to score three unanswered runs to win by a score of 4-3 in game two.
