FREDERICK, Md – Baseball (11-25, 5-16 MAC Commonwealth) concluded their conference play this season with a pair of games against Hood College (23-15, 12-9 MAC Commonwealth). After a pair of games, the Blazers swept the lions with 4-1 and 6-1 victories.
Brenden Stuhltrager continues to stay red hot for the Lions combining for three hits in the two games. In his first year with the team, Stuhltrager boasts a .322 batting average to go along with a .429 OBP, both ranking among the team leaders.
Christian Eckstein also recorded a multi-hit game in game one of the double header to go along with no strikeouts in either game. This game was Eckstein's fourth multi hit game of the season.
Senior
John O'Connor started game one for the Lions racking up eight strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work.
Deklyn Marks and
Zander Tesoriere both found themselves in the scoring column via recording a hit and coming around for a run scored in one of the two games.
Dominic Yeager took the mound in game two throwing over 100 pitches in a 7.1 inning effort to go along with seven strikeouts to only one walk.
