FLEETWOOD, Pa. – Albright women's golf got back in the swing of things opening up the two-day Golden Oaks Shootout on Sunday afternoon. 39 total golfers teed it up this afternoon at Golden Oaks Golf Club under cloudy skies throughout the day. Today's final holes were played in the rain making that much more difficult.
RESULTS
Today's round marked the first round for the women's golf team in 13 days. Albright opened their fall season at the Weyhill Classic on September 16.

Eric Lamm is pleased to see the team playing well in only their second full round of the fall season, "The women's team is just getting started with only two full rounds under their belt this fall. I am confident, with some nicer playing conditions tomorrow, the team will improve on their scores. Playing in these tournaments now is preparing the team well for an upcoming busy fall schedule."
Fatima Rizvi paced the Lions today with a round of 79. Rizvi tallied back to back birdies holes seven and eight. Rizvi is no stranger to tournament golf as the first-year Lion won her first ever collegiate event at the Weyhill Classic earlier this year.
Ilaria Catania finished better than half the field with an 18-hole score of 87. Catania is tied for 16
th after round one sitting within striking distance of the top 10.
Braidan Wastler rounded out the Lions in action this afternoon shooting a 93. Wastler birdied the par three fourth hole in an overall solid front nine.
