Men’s Basketball Comes from Behind to Down Hood at Home

The Lions hosted their second straight home conference game of 2025 against the Hood College Blazers.

READING, Pa. – The Albright Men's Basketball team (7-6, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) hosted their second conference game of the season against Hood (9-5, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth). The Lions pulled out a 78-76 win to give the Blazers their first conference loss of the season. The win for the Lions is the first over the Blazers since 2019. 
 
Eric Chamberlain led the Lions with 18 points which included three threes. The three threes made marks a season high for Chamebrlain. The do it all guard increased his program record in steals tonight picking up four more steals in tonight's game. 
 
Phanique Dupree led the team in rebounds with 11 and recorded 12 points in his second double-double in as many games along with six blocks. Dupree is top five in the country in blocks per game. Dupree has four games this season with six or more blocks including an eight block performance in the season opener. 
 
The Lions entered halftime trailing by a score of 40-33 after trailing by double digits midway through the first half. 
 
Joey Callahan finished second on the team with 13 points which included a number of clutch shots and free throws down the stretch as part of a 45-point second half from the Lions. 
 
Dylin Borden and Jeremiah Stanton tied for the team lead in assists with five apiece and served as the main facilitators throughout the contest.
 
After a physical 40 minutes of play, the Lions would hold on for a 78-76 win in nail-biting fashion.

The Lions will head on the road for the two games beginning with the Stevenson Mustangs on Saturday (1/18) at 3:00 pm.
