The Lions moved to 4-2 in MAC Commonwealth play and picked up their sixth home win of the season.

READING, Pa. – The Albright Men's Basketball team (9-7, 4-2 MAC Commonwealth) returned home for their alumni game against Widener (5-12, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth). After a slow start from the Lions, the game would evolve into a back-and-forth shootout with the Lions securing a clutch win at home.

Qadir Mitchell turned in one of his best performances of the season and led all scorers with 27 points off the bench which included him converting on six of his eight three-point shots in 25 minutes of play.

Phanique Dupree turned in another dominate two-way performance and finished second on the team with 21 points and recorded four blocks and a pair of steals. The Junior continues to average well over three blocks per game. Dupree is the current leader in all of Division III in blocks per game averaging 3.8.

Eric Chamberlain recorded 20 points of his own which included converting eight of nine free throws and picked up another three steals as he continues to add to his already record career.

The Lions entered halftime leading by a slim margin of 43-39 over the visiting Pride.

Dylin Borden and Jeremiah Stanton played a big role in the second half in which the Lions converted on 12 of their first 13 shots. The duo tied for the team lead in assists with six a piece. Stanton's 15 points were also a season high for the Baltimore native.
