READING, Pa. – Field Hockey (3-9, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth) played the last of a four game homestand against Hood (6-6, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth). After a back and forth four periods of play, the visiting blazers would edge out the Lions for a 2-0 road win.
Both defenses would control the flow of the game where only 10 combined shots on goal were fired off.
McKena Cox looked to spark the Lions offense and registered the team's first shot on goal in the opening period off a penalty corner.
Also pressuring the opposing goalie were
Bobbie Van Oordt and
Keliah Santiago who each registered shots of their own while setting up their teammates for additional opportunities.
Mackenzie Bunn tallied five saves in goal and now sits at 58 for the season in twelve games with 10 starts including a pair of shutout wins.
