READING, Pa. – Volleyball (4-19, 1-5 MAC Commonwealth) hosted the York College Spartans (9-14, 2-4 MAC Commonwealth) on Tuesday night in conference action. The match went to four sets with York pulling out the 3-1 win.
York won the first two sets over the Lions to take a 2-0 lead. Albright was not going to go down easily as the Lions won the third set 25-19. In the end the Spartans proved to be too much for the Lions as York closed out the match in the fourth set.
Kariana Minaya earned the start for the Lions tonight and proceeded to set multiple career highs. Minaya set new career highs in kills (7), points (7.5) and digs (5). The first-year Lion added one total block to round out her strong performance.
Samantha Lipp led the team with eight kills and 13 digs. Lipp now has 14 matches this season where she has tallied more than 10 digs in a match.
Sydney Mayfield and
Laura Ordakowski both set new career highs for kills in a match. Mayfield ended with five kills while Ordakowski had four.
Lucia Fernandez set a new career high will 11 assists in tonight's match recording her second double digit assist game of the season.
Albright was strong in the service game tonight recording 10 total aces as a team.
Mackenzie David led the way with four and was followed by
Paige Lipp who had three, Mayfield with two and S. Lipp with one.

Albright will host their last two matches of the season on Saturday, November 1. Albright will host Stockton and Keystone playing Stockton at 2:00 p.m. and Keystone at 4:00 p.m. The match day will also serve as the teams' senior day honoring lone senior
