NEWTOWN, Pa. – Matias Contreras of the Albright men's tennis team has been named Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth men's tennis Player of the Week. Contreras went 2-0 this past week playing as the Lions number one singles player.

Contreras improved to 4-0 in singles play on the season with straight-set victories at No. 1 singles in both matches of the week.

The first-year earned wins of 6-3, 6-2 against Arcadia and 6-2, 6-2 versus Gettysburg, helping Albright to a perfect 2-0 week.

For the season, Contreras has yet to have a match of his that has entered the third set with all four wins coming in straight sets.
