READING, Pa. – Men's Soccer (5-3-3) played the first of back-to-back home games against the Diplomats of Franklin and Marshall (3-7-2). Following 90 minutes of physical play, the Diplomats would leave with a 5-0 victory over the Lions.
The Diplomats would strike early in the second minute of play before the Lions defense stepped up their effort to keep their opponents off the board for the remainder of the first half.
Jose Serrano led the charge for the Lions offense and registered a shot while creating a number of productive scoring chances for his teammates.
Also picking up shots throughout the game were
Myles Mitchell and
Thayne Kahl who each turned in a strong two-way performance.
The Diplomat's offense would ultimately find their stride in the second half and pull away from the Lions in a 5-0 win.
