READING, Pa. – Albright Football (4-4, 3-4 MAC) played on the road for the final time this season against King's (5-3, 5-2 MAC). As a team the Lions put up 370 total yards of offense, but fell just short of the Monarchs by a score of 24-14.
Arthur Poindexter accounted for the first Lions touchdown in the form of a 12-yard reception from
Chase Roberts to tie the game at 7-7 with just under 11 minutes in the second quarter. Poindexter finished with seven catches for 78 yards and a touchdown and remains in striking distance of a 1,000-yard season (868).
The Monarchs would answer Poindexter's score with one of their own to take a 14-7 lead over the Lions into halftime.
Mamadou Koita finished second on the team with five tackles and combined with
Isaiah Spearman for a sack. Also recording a sack on the day was
Gavin Gallo for his second of the season.
John Boston would find the endzone with just under six minutes to go via a 10-yard dash for his fifth score of the season. Boston finished the day with 144 yards rushing.
Following Boston's score, King's would successfully run out the clock to hold on for 10-point victory over the Lions.
