READING, Pa. – Albright Football (4-5, 3-5 MAC) returned to Shirk Stadium for their final two regular season games beginning with Stevenson (6-3, 5-3 MAC). Today's game would be a low scoring affair resulting in a 17-7 win for the Mustangs.
Alden Stickler recorded a game high 91-yards on three receptions including a 65-yard catch and run in the second half. Stickler's performance today put him over 1,000 career receiving yards (1,077). Stickler's 563 yards this season also mark a single season best for the junior.
Also surpassing 1,000 career receiving yards today was
Arthur Poindexter. 930 of Poindexter's 1,055 career yards have come this year in what has been a fantastic season for the sophomore pass catcher.
Both defenses turned in strong performances in the first half which resulted in a narrow 7-0 lead for the Mustangs after 30 minutes of play.
Samuel Moratori and
Jaylan Atkinson tied for a game best 10 total tackles. Atkinson's tackles would end up being a career high for the sophomore.
Mark Lawrence turned in a strong day on the defensive line and picked up his first collegiate sack in the second half.
John Boston finished with 73 total yards of offense including a 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to put the Lions on the board.
Stevenson would wind up draining most of the remaining clock allowing them to hold on for a road victory over the Lions.
