Women’s Basketball Falls on the Road to Immaculata

The Lions went on the road on Saturday afternoon in a matinee game against the Mighty Macs. Immaculata won 77-63 on their home floor.

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Women's Basketball (3-5) played in their fifth straight road game on Saturday afternoon against Immaculata (7-2). The Mighty Macs won their fourth straight game beating the Lions 77-63.

Albright and Immaculata tied in the second half 36-36 but the Mighty Macs 15-point halftime lead proved to be the difference in the end.

A career high 16 points were scored by Julia Parmelee on 6-10 shooting from the floor. She made two of three three-point attempts while adding four rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes on the floor.

CJ Apistar notched her first game in double figures this season with 10 points. The senior continues to be disruptive defensively tallying four more steals today. Apistar has 21 steals this season sitting only behind Parmelee in the conference.

Julia Zakovitch went over the 500-career point and 300-career rebound total today. Zakovitch tallied nine points and four rebounds to achieve the career marks.

Kenedy Cooper finished with eight points and three steals. Gigi Serrano and Chrisdin Jones combined for 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Up Next:
Albright will return to action at the Roanoke Tournament on December 29 and 30. The Lions will begin the tournament against Dension and will play either Geneva College or Roanoke the following day.
