YORK, Pa. – Women's basketball (11-10, 5-6 MAC Commonwealth) entered the second to last week of the regular season on Wednesday evening going on the road to York College (15-7, 8-3 MAC Commonwealth). The Spartans of York College protected their home floor, winning the ball game 62-48.
Albright beat York the first time through the conference schedule at home. Despite the loss, the Lions sit just one game behind Alvernia for the fourth and final spot in the MAC Commonwealth playoffs.
Kenedy Cooper scored a season high 15 points while knocking two threes. Cooper was active defensively recording a career high six steals. The 15 points was one point shy of tying Cooper's previous high of 16.
Gigi Serrano collected her first double-double of the season going for 10 points and 10 rebounds in 19 minutes of game action. The 10 rebounds mark a new season high for Serrano.
York jumped out to a big lead after the first period and would go on to lead 35-21 at halftime. Albright would go on to win the third period, but the Spartans regained their form in the final 10 minutes to secure the conference victory.
Chrisdin Jones chipped in with six points while
Mackenzie Dover added five points.
