READING, Pa. – The Albright Men's Lacrosse team (1-4) returned home for the first of four straight beginning with Drew (2-1). Following four quarters of play, the visiting Rangers would leave with a 15-6 win over the Lions.
James Elko, fresh off of recording his 100
th point, turned in another strong performance and recorded three points via a pair of goals and an assist.
Tying Elko for the team lead in points was
Nick Antonio who also found the back of the net twice.
The first two quarters of play saw only a combined 10 goals with Drew holding a 7-3 lead.
Joost Van der Horst scored the first second half goal for the Lions and recorded a team high two assists in addition to recording a ground ball.
As a team the Lions picked up 16 ground balls with
Luke Williams and
Hunter Fitterling each picking up three.
Sean McNicholas saved 14 shot attempts and recorded his first career point via and assist to
Nick Antonio on a breakaway goal.
Ultimately, the second half would consist of a 8-3 run by the Rangers to close out the Lions for a win on the road.
