ABINGTON, Pa. – Men's tennis began their spring 2025 season on Saturday afternoon on the road at Penn State Abington. The Nittany Lions won the match 5-2 to move to 1-0 in the spring and dropping the Lions to 0-1 in the spring season.
Albright is coming off a postseason berth and will look to make it back-to-back appearances later this spring. The Lions will have four more tune up matches before MAC Commonwealth play begins on March 29.
All three doubles matches played today went the way of Albright's. Despite sweeping the doubles matches, you earn one team point by winning the best two of three matches in doubles play.
Dylan Huha and
Gerardo Sanchez won 6-1 in number one doubles while
Adam Good and
Kobe Serpa won by the same score in number two doubles.
Gavin Buckley and
Dominic Perch brought home the sweep with a 6-4 in number three doubles.
Clay Lewandowski was the lone victor in singles play for Albright winning in straight sets. Lewandowski won 6-2 and battled adversity in the second set winning 7-6 (7-3) to win the match.
