READING, Pa. – Albright Softball (1-9, 0-4 MAC Commonwealth) hosted their first conference matchup of the season against the Messiah Falcons (14-4, 4-0 MAC Commonwealth). Following a pair of games, the visiting Falcons would remain perfect in conference play and sweep the Lions at home and winning both games by a score of 8-0.
Alexis Laboy, fresh off a win against Lancaster Bible, started game one for the Lions and pitched the opening two innings with
Jadelyn Van Winkle then taking over for three innings of her own. Van Winkle also started in game two at first base as the team's designated fielder.
Taking the mound for game two was
Gabriella Weiss who allowed only one earned run in seven innings and has already amassed 25.2 in her first collegiate season.
Slaydon fisher picked up a team high three hits on the day which included two in game two via a double and single. Fisher now has five multi-hit games on the season and maintains a .440 batting average,
