Women’s Continues Strong Play Beating Lebanon Valley 4-3

The Lions won their 17th straight regular season match on Tuesday afternoon beating LVC 4-3.

READING, Pa.  – Women's tennis has won 17 straight regular season matches by beating Lebanon Valley 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon. Albright improves to a perfect 3-0 in the spring season while Lebanon Valley falls to 4-7.

The Lions would not be denied of their 17th straight regular season win on Tuesday afternoon. The last team to beat Albright in the regular season was Lebanon Valley who defeated the Lions 6-3 on March 20, 2024.

Alex Pancu was named MAC Commonwealth women's tennis Player of the Week prior to the start of today's match. The honor is the fifth of Pancu's career.

Pancu and Allison Horick teamed up in #1 doubles winning easily 6-2. The duo earned the only doubles victory of the day for Albright.

Pancu was her usual dominant self in #1 singles dismantling the competition. Pancu remains undefeated this spring winning today in straight sets 6-0, 6-1.

Horick cruised to a win in #3 singles winning handedly 6-2, 6-1. Horick improves to 7-0 in singles play in her Albright career combining the fall and spring seasons.

Alaina Smith won for the Lions in #5 singles play. Smith cruised in the opening set 6-1 and would show poise in set number two winning 7-5. Smith improves to 3-0 this spring.

Saba Soroush played hero today winning the decisive match for Albright in #6 singles. Soroush won 6-4 in the first set and dropped the second set 2-6. The third and final set went Soroush's way to earn the individual win and secure the team win for the Lions.
