Dallas, Pa. – The Albright Men's Lacrosse team (1-9) played Misericordia (4-5). The game served as the final for the Lions before MAC-Commonwealth play begins. After a slow start, an Albright comeback would fall just short as the Cougars won at home by a score of 10-9.
After falling behind 2-0,
Nick Antonio scored the first of his two goals of a pass from
Ryan Houghtaling to get the Lions on the board.
After a slow 5-1 start, the Lions scored five of the game's next six goals to tie the game at 6-6.
Jack Burke scored three of his team high four goals back-to-back-to-back which included the last goal of the first half, and the first two in the third period.
Luke Williams,
James Elko and
Justin Moroney each found the back of the net in what turned out to be a back-and-forth contest between the two teams.
After the Cougars retook the lead in the final seconds, a shot attempt by the Lions would be blocked as time expired as the cougars held on for 10-9 win.
