READING, Pa. – Jack Burke became the third player in school history to record 200 career points. Burke recorded his 200
th career point in the third period. Today's game marked the opening game of conference play with the Lions hosting York College. The #19 nationally ranked York Spartans (8-3, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) won 12-10 over Albright (1-10, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) on Saturday afternoon in a tightly contested matchup.
Jack Burke reached another career milestone on Saturday, becoming just the fourth player all time at Albright to reach 200 career points. Burke joins Phil Potter and Cam Cetrone as the only Lions to achieve the remarkable individual milestone.
Burke's 200
th career point came in the third period on an unassisted goal. Burke finished today's game with a team high four goals and now sits at 202 career points.
Despite the loss, the Lions should be proud of themselves with the way they played today. Albright came to play from the first whistle to the last, especially in the second half.
Derek Stump in his first season at Albright, has the team trending in the right direction.
York led by seven after 30 minutes of play but the Lions did not go down without a fight.
Sean McNicholas played a fantastic game in goal recording 15 saves making life difficult for the York offense.
Albright outscored York 8-3 in the final 30 minutes of the game and did not allow a single York goal in the fourth period.
Hunter Fitterling continues to be a menace for the Lions defensively causing three more turnovers this afternoon. The three caused turnovers brings Fitterling's career caused turnover total to 99.

Ryan Houghtaling and
Nick Antonio all scored twice this afternoon. Houghtaling's goal brought the Lions within five with 6:51 remaining on the clock. Antonio's second of the afternoon got the Lions within three goals with under a minute remaining. The comeback bid fell short, but it was certainly not because of a lack of effort from the Lions.
Liam Ferry caused a turnover and picked up two ground balls while
Luke Williams caused a turnover and collected three ground balls.
