READING, Pa. – Softball (3-25, 0-12 MAC Commonwealth) went on the road on Saturday afternoon making the short trip across town to take on Alvernia (19-15, 5-7 MAC Commonwealth) in double header action. The Golden Wolves won both ends of the double header.
Six different Lions picked up a hit across the two games played this afternoon. Collecting a hit today was
Slaydon Fisher,
Grace Landante,
Gabriella Weiss,
Riley Winchell,
Ryleigh Prinz and Saide Gonzalez.
In game two, Fisher roped a double into right center field that would bring Maggie Steeber around to score. The double for Fisher was her fourth of the year while Steeber scored her second run in as many games.
Gonzalez picked up her first RBI as an Albright Lion in game two of the double header. In the top of the seventh inning, Gonzalez put the ball in play which resulted in scoring Weiss from third.
Weiss came on in relief in game two and proceeded to throw 3.1 innings without allowing a hit or walk. Weiss struck out two Golden Wolves in a solid outing for the first year Lion.
