Sarah Chernis Sets Single Season Assist Record Against Stevenson

The Lions women’s lacrosse team hosted Stevenson on Wednesday evening and fell to the visitors 22-4. Chernis recorded two assists to set the new single season assist record at Albright.

READING, Pa.  – Women's lacrosse (5-11, 1-5 MAC Commonwealth) hosted Stevenson (10-6, 4-2 MAC Commonwealth) on Wednesday evening in the team's final home game of 2025. The Mustangs won tonight 22-4 over the Lions.

Sarah Chernis tied the program record last time out with her 41st assist of the season. Tonight, Chernis tallied two assists to set the new single season assist record having 43 assists this year. Cheris surpassed Sophie Bass who set the record in 2019.

In three different games this year, Chernis tied the single-game assist record with six assists. Heading into the final game of the regular season on Saturday, Chernis will look to add to her already recording breaking season.

Kayte Moist scored three times tonight to improve on her team lead in goals with 57 this season. With a game remaining, Moist is within striking distance of tying or breaking the most goals in a season program record. The current program record for goals in a season is 61 set back in 2013 by Erin Farrell.

Zoe Dicks added a goal tonight for the Lions giving her 21 goals this season. Lucy Moreland got in the box score tallying an assist this evening.

Five different Lions were credited with a caused turnover this evening. The Lions were Courtney Futrick, Kaila Clark, Katelyn Kelly, Kylee McCauley-Kriegsman and Dicks.
