PHILADELPHIA – Men's track and field competed in the most famous track and field meet in the country on Friday afternoon, the Penn Relays. The sprint medley relay team did not disappoint as the relay team set a new program record in the event. Today marked the second day of the Penn Relays and the first and only day of competition for the Lions.
RESULTS
In the second event of the afternoon the relay team of
Cameron Myers,
Michael Maley,
Ravone Edwards and
Dante Zamichieli recorded a time of 3:40.45 in the Men's Sprint Medley event. The time breaks a 20-year-old program record set back in 2005.
Today's time was over four seconds better than the previous school record time of 3:44.74. The four Lions are now officially one of the best relay teams in school history.
The relay team of
Cameron Myers,
Gregory Hammond,
Michael Maley and
Ravone Edwards competed in the 4x100 relay. The team turned in a time of 45.50 in the Lions first event of the afternoon.
