Softball Drops Double Header to Hood on Sunday Afternoon

The Lions softball team played their final MAC Commonwealth double header of the season on Sunday afternoon against Hood.

FREDERICK, Md.  – Softball (3-31, 0-14 MAC Commonwealth) went on the road for the final time in the 2025 season facing off against Hood (22-16, 8-6 MAC Commonwealth). The Blazers won both of ends of the double header on Sunday afternoon.

Juliette Licata finished with three hits combined in the two games played this afternoon. Licata leads the team with an impressive batting average of .365 which is good for 15th overall in the Commonwealth. Licata had a multi-hit game in game one giving her, her 12th multi-hit game of the season.

Slaydon Fisher belted her third home run of the season in game two depositing the ball over the left field fence. The extra base hit was the seventh of the year for the Lions infielder.

Aliza Langlois had two hits in game one. Langlois doubled home Licata in the top of the first inning of game one marking her fourth double of the season and sixth RBI of the year.

In game two, Jadelyn Van Winkle doubled down the left field line for a pair of RBIs. Kaitlin Mulry and Ryleigh Prinz would come around to score off the Van Winkle double.

Recording at least one hit this afternoon was Sadie Gonzalez, Grace Landante, Prinz and Mulry.
