HERSHEY, Pa. – The Albright women's golf team officially opened the spring season on Thursday afternoon at the Elizabethtown Invitational.
Fatima Rizvi paced the Lions finishing in solo eighth.
RESULTS
The Invitational was played at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It was the first round of the season for the Lions women's golf team playing in their first of three total rounds between today and Sunday.
"Today being the first tournament of the season for the women's side, I was overall pleased with their efforts. Their games will come along with time, and I am confident the team will continue to work hard ultimately improving on their scores." Said, coach Lamm.
Rizvi fared well in her opening 18 holes of the spring finishing in solo eighth. The round of 86 was good for top 10 out of 32 total golfers in the field.
Ilaria Catania shot a 90 to take home 11
th overall. Catania's score was better than four of the five total Division II golfers in the field.
Braidan Wastler fared well on a tough course shooting a 105 finishing better than three out of four golfers from MAC member institution Lebanon Valley.

Albright will return to action on Saturday April 5 beginning the two-day Catholic University Cardinal Spring Classic. Both rounds will be played at Black Rock Golf Course in Hagerstown, Maryland.
