READING, Pa. – Albright Baseball (13-13) returned home for a game against Immaculata (6-19). After a slow start, the Lions would score five of their 10 runs in the fourth inning in a 10-4 win over the Mighty Macs.
After falling behind 3-0,
Roman Berretta would get the Lions on the board in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly to drive in
Christian Eckstein for the first of his two RBIs.
Jack Gilmer then took advantage of a bases loaded situation and drive in three runs on a double into left center field. Gilmer would also wind up scoring a team high three runs on the day.
Plyler Hunter than followed with a double of his own to drive in Gilmer for the fifth run of the inning for the Lions. Hunter would also drive in Gilmer for a run via a double just two innings later in the sixth.
Joining Gilmer and Hunter with multiple hits were
Chris Gorla and
Nick Barton who each also came around to score a run.
Michael Avino would single up the middle in the eighth inning to drive in two of the three runs scored by the Lions that inning.
Tyler Boccelli and
Patrick Ahearn combined to retire the last six Immaculata batters to secure the win.
