Football Drops Road Game against Misericordia

The Lions played the second of two consecutive road games to start the year.

DALLAS, Pa. – Football (1-1) played their second straight road game and opened up MAC play against the Misericordia Cougars. Following for quarters of play, the Cougars would wind up securing a 42-21 win on their home turf. 
 
The Lions struck first after Chase Roberts connected with Alden Stickler on a five-yard touchdown pass following a turnover on downs forced by the defense. Roberts tied a career best with three touchdown passes while Stickler finished with six catches for 65 yards on the day. 
 
Also finding the endzone was Arthur Poindexter who tied stickler for the team lead in receptions with six while recording a team high 67 receiving yards to go along with a pair of touchdown grabs. 
 
Roger Romany-Walker led the way for the Lions on the ground and tallied 79 yards on 16 attempts while adding on another 39 yards on a pair of receptions. 
 
Leading the defensive effort for the Lions was Darrien Osmun who put together a team high nine tackles which included three for a loss. Samuel Moratori finished with eight of his own to go along with an interception.

Isaiah Spearman and Daunte Morrison combined for a sack bringing the team total to five through two games.
